The project involved the construction of a two-story building that housed an Acute Psychiatric inpatient facility on the second floor and a Psychiatry of Old Age inpatient facility on the ground floor. Additionally, shell-only spaces were provided on the first floor for the potential future fit-out of healthcare services intended for use by Beaumont Hospital.
The structure included 44 acute psychiatric bed wards, dedicated areas for both patients and non-patient functions, and encompassed a total area of 7000m2. It was strategically positioned within the existing hospital’s car park.
