Western is proud to have delivered the new Community Diagnostic Centre at Upton Hospital in Slough, a £25m state-of-the-art facility designed to enhance local healthcare services.
Innovative Off-Site Construction
The 2,800m² centre was delivered using advanced off-site construction techniques combined with BIM (Building Information Modelling). This approach allowed modules to be installed efficiently and made watertight within just five days, demonstrating the speed, precision, and quality that modern construction methods can achieve.
Efficient Delivery and Impact
Completed in just 52 weeks, the centre will provide up to 150,000 diagnostic tests annually. It offers a wide range of services including MRI, CT, ultrasound, respiratory, and cardiology diagnostics. By improving early diagnosis and increasing service capacity, the facility will help reduce pressure on local healthcare services.
