The design and construction of a new 4-storey modular building which provided a 74-bed ward block, ancillary office accommodation for staff and a standalone multi-storey office block and laboratory research facility.
The modular solution included concrete floors on a Lewis Metal Deck throughout to meet the required performance specification. The new facility provides over 3000m2 of additional space has been provided as a state-of-the-art research facility that offers an environment for students and medical graduates from the University of Limerick to work and train alongside professional experienced research staff from the University Hospital Limerick. Western secured a further 3 projects with this client.
