This Friday, we celebrate something very special at Western Building Systems – 50 years of marriage between Martin and Nora, the founders and first ever directors of our company.
While Western will celebrate 44 years of trading this October, its story began with Martin and Nora and the partnership they built together. From those beginnings came a business that has grown considerably over four decades, developing into the Western we know today.
Martin and Nora established the values, relationships and culture that remain at the heart of the business. They took the risks, made the difficult decisions and built something that could continue beyond themselves. Although less involved in the day-to-day running of Western today, they remain very much part of the business – offering their experience, advice and guidance whenever needed. And that legacy continues, with the second generation now fully involved and the third generation waiting in the wings.
