At Western, we are proud to support young people as they explore potential career paths and gain valuable real-world experience. Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming Éadaoin to our team for a work experience placement, giving her the opportunity to learn more about the construction industry and the diverse range of careers it offers.
Throughout the week, Éadaoin spent time with colleagues across different areas of the business, gaining insight into the many roles that contribute to the successful delivery of our projects. From understanding the planning and coordination involved behind the scenes to seeing how teams work together to bring projects to life, she experienced first-hand the variety of opportunities available within the construction sector.
Her enthusiasm, curiosity, and willingness to get involved made a positive impression on everyone she met. We were delighted to see her embrace the experience, ask thoughtful questions, and show a genuine interest in learning more about the industry.
At Western, we believe that providing opportunities for young people to gain practical experience is an important part of supporting future talent. Work experience placements offer valuable insight into the workplace while helping students make informed decisions about their future careers.
It is particularly encouraging to see more young women considering careers in construction. The industry continues to evolve, offering exciting opportunities across a wide range of disciplines, and we are committed to promoting an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
We would like to thank Éadaoin for all her help throughout the week and for the energy and positivity she brought to the team. We hope her time with us has provided valuable experience and inspiration for the future.
From everyone at Western, we wish Éadaoin every success in her future studies and career journey. We look forward to seeing where her ambitions take her next.
Good luck, Éadaoin – the future is bright! 🌟
