At Western, we recently had the privilege of hosting two distinguished international delegations from Australia and The Netherlands here at our manufacturing facilities in Tyrone. It was a fantastic opportunity to come together, share knowledge, and showcase the cutting-edge advancements we’ve made in offsite modular construction.
Our visitors met with our senior executives for in-depth discussions about global best practices in modular construction. Beyond the conversations, the delegations toured our extensive factory floor including our new state-of-the-art fully automated timber panel production line. This line is a key part of our ongoing multi-million-pound investment programme focused on boosting innovation, operational efficiency, and sustainability in construction.
Our latest timber panel production line combines the latest automation technologies with powerful digital design tools. It is designed to deliver higher output with incredible precision and improve workplace safety by supporting one-person operation and minimising manual handling of large timber wall panels. This investment directly supports Western’s ambitious carbon reduction goals and enhances our capacity to meet the growing demand for faster, greener building solutions that align with government drives for net zero buildings.
Western has always prided itself on providing a comprehensive ‘right-fit’ solution for modern construction projects, combining design excellence, digital innovation, and streamlined manufacturing. Our next-generation customisable buildings are built to exceed compliance standards, creating adaptable, sustainable spaces that empower both our clients and the communities they serve.
Through our Single Source Supply Chain model, we offer end-to-end project supply chain management, ensuring cost certainty, timeline adherence, transparency, and consistent quality. This approach, coupled with our reputation for quality craftsmanship and technical excellence, positions us at the forefront of modern construction methods in the UK and Ireland.
Reflecting on the visit, it was a testament to how collaboration and shared expertise push us all forward. By embracing innovation and sustainability, Western is helping to shape the future of the construction sector, locally and globally.
