There were 3 phases to this project involving the construction of the following buildings:
- Amenity Building
- Engineers and Accounts Department
- Reception Area
This was a steel frame modular constructed building, consisting of 64 modules. The building was designed to provide the work force of Harland and Wolff with catering facilities, showering, toilets and locker rooms. The building was complete with a designed plant room to facilitate to heating and showers within the build.
Engineers and Account Department
Again this was a steel frame modular constructed building, consisting of 24 modules. The building was designed to accommodate the rapid growth of the company, and to allow for the recruitment of new personnel. The Departments where relocated to new designed premises that hava been equipped with meeting facilities, open plan offices, break areas and changing areas complete with showers
The final phase of works was a steel frame modular constructed building reception area, consisting of 10 modules. Rather than revamp existing reception area, together H&W and Western designed a new modern reception area that tied in existing offices and recently installed modular offices. The area was designed as an open plan foyer, with large curtain walling screens maximising views of the factories and cranes.
Western worked closely with the client to ensure each phase was delivered to meet the key dates for the client.
