New factory part of £1.5 million investment
Western Building Systems recently announced a £1.5 million investment in their production facilities. Western have invested nearly £1.2 million in a new 30,000sq foot factory at their Mountjoy Road Headquarters, complete with two 20 tonne overhead cranes.
As well an the investment in the factory Western have also extended our fleet, with four new vehicles and made further investments in the window and kitchen division, modernising their production facilities. This investment comes as the company have announced a 5 per cent growth in employment.
Welcoming the news Operations Director Declan McCloskey, said that the additional factory space would allow the company to continue to extend their markets: “The new 30,000 sq foot factory has already proven invaluable to us with over £7 million worth of contracts passing through our new facility in 2016.
“This additional production capacity will allow Western to continue to grow our markets in both the UK and Ireland over the next 5-10 years.
“As well as growing our production capacity we have also added to our work force with a five percent increase in employment over the course of the last year. This shows the strength and the health of our business and our business model.”
